LOVE IN PLACES LOFTY AND LOW by Penny-Anne Beaudoin page 3/3
the years have since rolled by
and the prince believes me changed
thinks i’m happy
my feet on the ground
secure in gravity’s shackles
imagines himself the centre of my universe
but
he cannot breathe the thin air of my dreams
nor partner me
when i dance among the stars
