Rapunzel, Anne Anderson
Anderson (1874—1940s?) was a Scottish illustrator, primarily known for her children's book illustrations, although she also painted and designed greeting cards. She also worked as an etcher and in watercolours.
Married to painter and illustrator Alan Wright, she settled in Berkshire, where she and Wright collaborated on many works.
Her other illustrated fairy tales include The Frog Prince, goldilocks and the Three Bears, Hansel and Gretel, Hop O' My Thumb, The Twelve Dancing Princesses, and The Snow Queen. These illustrations are from a reproduction work, Anne Anderson's Old, Old Fairy Tales.
Her work has been compared to her contemporaries, including Charles Robinson and Jessie M. King.
