LA LUNA/THE MOON
by Peggy Landsman
la luna
la luna es una ballena blanca
que nada con las estrellas
en el mar del cielo
todos que nadan
en la mar de la tierra
la miran y se maravillan:
¿cómo se escapó?
the moon
the moon is a white whale
who swims with the stars
in the sea of the sky
all who swim
in the sea of the earth
look up at her and wonder:
how did she escape?
